A calm, focused studio dedicated to teaching Pilates the way it was meant to be — classical, intelligent, and rooted in the original method.
At Space for Pilates, we don’t follow trends. We teach with purpose. Every session is about building true strength, better movement, and a deeper connection to your body.
If you’ve ever Googled “Pilates near me,” you’ve probably seen a long list of studios offering everything from mat classes to reformer bootcamps. So how do you know which one’s right for you?
At Space for Pilates, we keep things simple — but powerful. We teach classical Pilates, the way it was originally designed, in a space that’s welcoming, unpretentious, and built for all bodies.
Pilates isn’t just a workout. It’s a method — and we take that seriously, without taking ourselves too seriously.
We don’t believe in gimmicks, fast-tracked training, or trendy choreography. What we teach is grounded in the original work of Joseph Pilates — a system that has helped people move and feel better for nearly 100 years.
Whether you’re:
…you have a place at Space for Pilates. You don’t need to be flexible. You don’t need to “get in shape” first. You just need to show up — and we’ll meet you exactly where you are.
It’s not about how fast you move or how many reps you can do. It’s about moving with purpose.
Each session builds strength, awareness, and resilience from the inside out.
That means:
We don’t just lead classes — we teach. You’ll learn the system, understand your own body, and get stronger session by session. It’s not about perfection. It’s about progression.
We created Space for Pilates to be exactly that — a space. A break from noise, pressure, and performance. It’s calm, focused, and welcoming.
No blaring music. No hustle. Just you, your body, and the work.
Come as you are. Leave feeling stronger.
That’s what Space for Pilates is all about.

When instruction leans towards inspiration, you know you have a rock solid foundation. That’s what Soheyla is to me. She has been my guide and under her mentorship, I have learnt the nuances of Pilates. While the overall exercise is the aim, the subtlety that leads you there is of paramount importance. That’s what Soheyla has taught me. She has taught me the importance of noticing the smaller details that lead to a bigger change. Building strength is necessary, but gaining confidence is priceless. That’s what Soheyla gave me. Her classes are well crafted and leaves you feeling good from inside out. Soheyla has been my Master Instructor, my friend and above all a beautiful person in my life.

It’s always a privelage to be a tutelage of Soheyla. An excellent master trainer with a deep understanding of her work. Her patience and ability to teach is a gift. She’s sensitive to listen and really hears us. She has the ability to meet people where they are and yet confident to stay true to the method. I have gained so much from her teaching not only as a student but also as a good friend.

Learning from Soheyla has honestly been one of the best parts of my fitness journey. I came in knowing nothing about Pilates—just your typical cardio addict hooked on lifting weights. But Soheyla welcomed me with so much patience and genuine care.
She doesn’t just teach Pilates—she lives it. Her passion is contagious, and you can feel how much she wants you to succeed. She has this way of making everything click, and she’ll always go the extra mile to help you connect with the practice on a deeper level. She’s more than a trainer—she’s a true mentor and someone I deeply respect.

I have been doing Pilates with Soheyla for over a decade now and consequently feel that I am getting younger, with each passing year, even though I have just turned 60. I feel completely transformed. I have grown stronger, my joints move with more ease and my terrible posture, a distant memory. I always had a problem with balance and now I can even Paddle Board. Learning body awareness and how to engage and stabilise my body, has been a game changer. I can only put this down to Pilates, Soheyla’s depth of knowledge and expert teaching.
Lessons with Soheyla are always so enjoyable. She knows how to challenge you just enough, to get the very best out of you, so that you finish a class feeling rejuvenated and 2 inches taller!

I’ve been practicing Pilates for over 20 years, and even though I thought I was fit, Pilates humbled me. I realised I was strong in all the wrong places. Growing up as a keen sportsperson, I accumulated my fair share of injuries—knee reconstructions, shoulder problems, and ongoing back issues.
Soheyla was my very first Pilates teacher, and after just one session, I knew Pilates would become a lifelong part of my life. I was one of her early clients, and from the beginning I always felt supported, seen, and genuinely cared for. Her passion for Pilates is unmatched and completely infectious—so much so that I eventually became an instructor myself.
I am forever grateful to her, not only for introducing me to Pilates, but for the consistent attentiveness and wisdom she offers as my body continues to evolve. Over the years, I’ve watched her grow from a passionate instructor into an extraordinary Master Instructor. Her attention to detail, her intuition, and her deep commitment to helping her clients and teacher trainees are truly remarkable. I would go so far as to say she has a gift for healing.
I recommend her wholeheartedly. She has a unique teaching style, a finely tuned eye, and the energy and dedication required to bring out the best in every client and student. She has played a pivotal role in my health, my strength, and my own passion for Pilates.

After breaking my back and arm a physiotherapist encouraged me to start pilates so that i would strengthen a weak core. When i practice regularly i can completely manage back pain while also feeling stronger and having improved posture. I have done pilates for seven years in three countries and have always loved my teachers but Soheyla is the best teacher i have ever had. The classes are duets and she monitors you closely to ensure you are always in the correct position to be exercising. On top of that the concentration involved makes time fly. Pilates is one of the highlights of my week and i love it!! I only wish i could start every day with an hour on the reformer…

Soheyla is not only an incredibly skilled and knowledgeable Pilates instructor, but she also brings warmth, positivity, and genuine care to every session. Her passion for teaching and her attention to detail make every workout both effective and uplifting. I always leave her classes feeling stronger, more aligned, and inspired. Pilates is the best thing that has happened to me. When I began my journey as a client, I tried out Pilates and saw the things it did to my body, and seeing my friends amazing changes to their figures and postures I knew this was right for me. But then Soheyla gave me the opportunity to sign up for instructor training course, it below my mind, it was intense but a well rounded course that made me feel complete. Pilates definitely changed me, I love the discipline, the structure of the exercises and of course when you finish teaching a class the feeling is satisfying and rewarding. Thank you Soheyla for being my mentor, for guiding me and inspiring me. You are an amazing master instructor that cares for all your students. I will carry Pilates forever with me.
